ALLAH Issue Re-Visited

I was compelled to write this article in response to a question posed by a blogger in Malaysia Today People’s Portal(English Section). The question is simple: ‘Why should the Muslims be INFURIATED by the ‘Allah Ruling’ in the High Court?’. I would like to share with visitors to this https://warisantmk.wordpress.com/ the article as follows.

THE MUSLIMS, when they perform their 5-times per day SOLAT, will not miss reading, in Arabic, verses meaning this, ‘Verily, my solat, my spiritual purification, my life and my death are all for the sake of Allah, the God of the Universe’. Meaning, Allah, the God Almighty, is the MOST CENTRAL part of the life of Muslims, including the Malays.

Whilst, central to the Muslims ARTICLE OF FAITH is the acceptance of the ONENESS of Allah, the ONLY God of the Universe, and the ONLY God worthy of being worshipped. To the Muslims, to associate any other dieties, persons or anything else with Allah, the Almighty God, is the GREATEST SIN any human being can commit. Infact, according to Islamic teachings, Allah, the Almighty God, may forgive ALL sins of human being, EXCEPT for those who associated PARTNERS with Allah.

To the Muslims, the MISGUIDED CHRISTIANS have brought PARTNERS to Allah, by ‘introducing’ the concept of TRINITY, a concept which indirectly put into question the GREATNESS OF ALLAH, as if Allah, the God Almighty, still requires other entities such as SON-OF-GOD and the HOLY SPIRIT to rule and administer the Universe.

To the Muslims, the name ALLAH is not the universally accepted name used by the Christians in their own HEARTLANDS, places like Rome, European countries, and countries of North and South America. Even at the Vatican, the World Capital of Roman Catholicism, the name ALLAH is not uttered by the POPE in their daily, weekly or other services.

Against such background,  the Muslims in Malaysia believe that the Roman Catholic Church in Malaysia is ‘adopting’ the name Allah as a STRATEGY to propogate Christianity among the Muslims, by trying to CONFUSE them by using similar name  ALLAH for Christian God. And the Muslims believe that they have the RIGHTS to be infuriated by such OVERTURES.

Nevertheless, the Muslims only voiced out their displeasures in mosques, after the Friday Solat gatherings, which they have ABSOLUTE RIGHT to do. All were under control. But, its beyond the ability of either the Government or UMNO and Malay NGOs to make sure that certain Muslim elements may not be able to hold their anger, in advance of the Court of Appeal procedures.

But… I wonder whether the Muslims would be able to hold their ANGER much further, if the Court of Appeal eventually uphold the decision of the lower High Court.

    tmk ,

i would prefer at this juncture that we leave it to the court …..

and i think everyone should abstain from saying say ..” the misguided christians ” or “the terrorist muslims” ..as beliefs are everyone’s right and all individuals should respect each other’s belief…..for all religions teach the same universal “do good unto others as you want others to do unto thee”.

the only exception is when we have over-zealous preachers purposely out to wreck havoc on other’s faiths thus inviting equally over-zealous reactions from their followers.

such over-zealousness in preaching or trying to gain converts using unethical means to one’s religion had seen deadly riots in India as reported in the press last year as Hindus were claimed to have converted to Christianity under unethical means. Churches were burned by the Hindus in reaction and the followers of each faith later sought deadly vengeance on each other ..so too as happened in Indonesia…

religion is ultra-sensitive ..people of a faith will die for their religion in order to protect it…what is seemingly just a word can be highly sensitive to followers of a religion as it is sensitive to another for a cow which is considered as sacred as it is pertinent to burn paper or hell money for the deceased to yet another’s faith

last week , the church in India furiously protested at the caricature of Jesus being depicted in a text book as a drunkard holding a liquor bottle…this irresponsible act serves to either sow hatred or purposely to infuriate christians…as Muslims were insulted when copies of the Quran were fed to the pigs and circulated via the net.

in S’pore a pastor had posted in his fb jokes making a mockery of buddhist and toist rituals …audience in his fb laughed their heads off and made hysterical fun of ..although he had apologized ..the damage was already done ….

what is to us fun, silly or harmless ( as in the Kalimah issue ) can be so dead important to the followers of other faith .

in history …during the early rise of christianity …the church was so repressive of any dissent ..they burned alive anyone who preached other versions of jesus teaching including the concept of God . Texts not in agreement to their version were relentlessly pursued and burnt.

Hence ..we could see how people would react ..they would kill or be killed if their religion is disturbed.

To this effect ..i would urge for everyone to exercise restraint and goodsense and not to politicize issues .

wasn’t it wonderful as happened when Muslims went on to protect churches in the light of the Kalimah issue ? in fact all those who claimed to be close to God should be the first to protect another’s faith .

and we must learn to accept that not all things e can bring to court as there will be no winners when a decision is made…

    THINK.

    nonetheless ..i would agree if

I agree with you that Muslims should not use terms like MISGUIDED CHRISTIANS.

However, my writing only unveiled what the Muslims think of the Christians. Hence, my sentence, …’To the Muslims….”.

My reason for unveiling what the Muslims think, is to make the Christians understand HOW Muslims think about the ALLAH issue, and WHY Muslims were so INFURIATED.

Al-La-h : The Nothingness of breathen. Instead of reaching and be connected between languages and faiths, believers cast their suspicions and differences beyond each of our self governing (humanity) ability to reason. A Conceived Perfect Essence transcends its abstract throughout human civilization making its way precipitating causal images of its Unchanging Form.

If Muhammad was to speak in Aramaic Or pehaps Mosses was to speak in Arabic upon discovering each of their Perfect Self, would each of their people listen?

      zunnun,

What a beautiful writing… unfortunately, not many would be able to comprehend the meaning. If its your own writing, I must admit that you have the quality of a poet.

Or…was it from a leave of religious book.. come on, express yourself, and share what you have with others.

  5. majufikir Says:

beautiful like the language of kahlil gibran’s poetic rendering of God , soul , happiness ,sorrow …

however for laymen …and visitors to this blog it is nice for zunnun to simplify it a little bit …

    let’s share ur thoughts too
