Malaysians UNITED In Celebrating AFF Suzuki Cup Final Victory

December 30, 2010

As widely anticipated, our ‘Malaysian Tigers’ managed to hold their nerves, and successfully safeguarded their first-leg 3-0 victory, to overcome the ‘garudas’ by 4-2 aggregate.

Despite the ‘hospitality-Indonesian styled’ received by our young tigers, including being deprived of pre-match trainings, and having to be ferried into the stadium in MILITARY ARMOURED CARRIERS, our young rising stars, possessed with the MALAYSIA BOLEH spirit, once again displayed their mastery in the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, to frustrate over 90,000 Indonesian fanatical supporters, and earned their rights to walk up the stage GALLANTLY as proud FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS OF THE ASEAN.

Apart from the Malaysian VIPs and officials seated in SECURED section of the Stadium, there were no sight of hundreds of Malaysian supporters who made their way to Jakarta. According to reports, Malaysian supporters changed their plans and only watched the game over a big screen in the Malaysian Embassy, for security reasons.

We admire the fighting spirit of the Indonesia team and the PASSIONATE SUPPORT shown to them by their fanatical supporters. However, the ‘Hospitality-Indonesian styled’ is far short of international standards. We fully understand that until several years ago, Indonesia had been in POLITICAL TURMOIL following the fall of the military regime in 1998. During those days, it was common sights in Indonesia to see hundreds or thousands of people demonstrating for various causes in main squares of Jakarta. However, the ‘post-revolutionary’ fervours still engulf Jakarta, sometimes for wrong reasons.

But its VERY UNCOMMON to see local football supporters hurling abusive gestures and insults at VISITOR TEAMS  in other cities, apart from Jakarta. Worse still, when the VISITOR TEAM was deprived of their much required pre-match training, due to security reasons.

The Indonesian Government, and Indonesia sports authorities should look deeply into this problem, which may tarnish Indonesia image in the eyes of the rest of the world. By now, Indonesia has become a stable democratic country. Its time to clean up their supporters of  ‘post-revolutionary mannerism’ and start to furnish them with WORLD STANDARD MANNERISM .

All those ‘sufferings’ of our team and supporters while in Indonesia only brings the Malaysians closer to one another in the new spirit of PATRIOTISM, in the new spirit of ONE NATION, and the new spirit of 1MALAYSIA.

Malaysian Government has announced that tomorrow will be a PUBLIC HOLIDAY in recognition of our new heroes. Lets us rejoice, and be UNITED. UNITY IS STRENGTH.

Malaysians United In Suzuki Cup AFF Football Final

December 27, 2010

Congratulation to both Malaysia and Indonesia, for making it to the FINAL of the  Suzuki Cup AFF, the most prestigious football tournament  among Southeast-Asian countries.

The HOME FINAL last night lived up to Malaysians’ wildest expectations when Malaysian youthful team traunced Indonesia by 3-0. Over 70,000 Malaysian supporters who packed the National Bukit Jalil Stadium were HIGHLY CHARGED with PRIDE and NATIONALISM watching our National Teams putting up one of their BEST DISPLAYS for decades, while millions enjoyed every moment of the display infront of their TV sets.

With such gallant displays by our players spiritted by the MALAYSIA BOLEH battle-cry, we believe that they are more than capable in overcoming their opponents in the AWAY FINAL in Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, this coming Wednesday. The  same spirit of MALAYSIA BOLEH  had in the past taken Malaysians to the summit of the Everest, the North Pole, around the world and even to the outer space.

So much can be achieved when Malaysians are proud of themselves, and UNITED in their visions and aspirations. UNITY has been the main element which had transformed our once poor and ‘malaria-infested nation’ into one of the ECONOMIC TIGERS of Asia,  one of the TOP 20 biggest trading nations on earth, one of the TOP 10 MOST COMPETITIVE economises in the world and home of the TALLEST TWIN TOWERS ever built on this planet.

UNITY IS STRENGTH. Lets uphold the FOUNDATIONS of our nation which have contributed to the UNITY, STABILITY and PROSPERITY of our great nation. Lets not allow ANTI-NATIONALS from wrecking the UNITY we have built over the last 50 over years.

KETUANAN MELAYU Debate Rages On

December 12, 2010

The term KETUANAN MELAYU appears to be like the sound of DEAFENING THUNDER to some people, that whenever the term is uttered, it makes them pressing their palms firmly against their ears, so as not to allow their EARDRUM to catch the sound of the THUNDEROUS WORD.

Chua Soi Lek, the President of MCA , took an extra step during the BN Convention recently by advocating that certain terms like ‘Ketuanan Melayu’, ‘Pendatang’ and a few other terms considered ‘deregatory’ by the Chinese be made a ‘taboo’, or should not be used at all.

As usual, Chua Soi Lek had good intentions, even when he ‘entertained’ his mistress in the Batu Pahat Hotel. His thought then could be, what’s wrong  to have  a bit of ‘relaxing indulgences’ to regain the much required freshness and energy to further carry out the more important task of serving MCA.

Ever since CSL was defeated by Ong Tee Keat in the earlier MCA Presidential Election, he began to portray himself as a ‘Chinese Champion’ of a sort, by adopting political stands and postures which are normally identified with the chauvanist DAP. He had carved out ‘rebel within the party’ image. Despite that, due to certain national problems linked to Ong Tee Keat, and the re-election process of MCA President which involved a three-cornered fight involving Ong Ka Ting too, besides him and Ong Tee Keat,  resulted into the most UNEXPECTED, Chua Soi Lek became the SURPRISE winner.

We can understand, its not easy for CSL to immediately switch from his ‘rebel within the party’ image, to that of the leader of the second most powerful party in the BN, the President of MCA, the founding partner of the Alliance Party, and one of the backbones of the BN.

CSL realized that overwhelming majority of his Chinese community have abandoned MCA, as clearly shown in the last GE. As proven by Anwar and Kit Siang, the easiest way to ‘pinch’ Chinese support from the BN was to portray MCA as the ‘yes man of UMNO’, ‘little brother’ of UMNO’ and other demeaning labels, besides portraying UMNO as an ‘anti-Chinese monster’, robbing everything fom the Chinese, to be given to the ‘UMNO elites’.

While being sidelined for over two years by Ong Tee Keat, CSL could probably be taken in by the Anwar-Kit Siang HATE CAMPAIGN against UMNO/BN. And, at a time when MCA was sorting out its leadership crisis, the Anwar-Kit Siang-like  postures adopted by CSL quitely but  slowly gained some following from among the MCA members who were stirred by by the Anwar-Kit Siang HATE CAMPAIGN, and were struggling to find leaders who would stand up for them.

Now, CSL is at the helm of MCA, the second biggest party in the BN.  By proposing that all BN component parties be regarded as EQUAL PARTNERS, many questioned whether CSL, as the new President of MCA,  has fully grasped how BN really works. Looking from the point of view of UMNO members,  BN has to be run like a SDN BHD company or Public-listed companies, rather than as an MCA COOPERATIVE or Koperasi. Major decisions of cooperatives are through their EGM where one member has one vote. Whereas in SDN BHD company or Public-listed companies, the strength of the ‘members’ or directors depend on the number of shares they own in the companies. Obviously its not logical to think of a situation whereby DS Najib, the President of UMNO who represent s over 3 million UMNO members be AT PAR with the Presidebt of a small Sabah-based BN component party having less than fifty thousand members.

In many ways,  BN is run very mush like the United Nations, where there are certain levels  and matrices of powers being exercised, the most powerful being the Security Council. In the actual General Assembly, every member state has only one vote, but without the existence of bodies like the Security Council , with limited number of permanent and temporary members, the UN would not be effective in administrating WORLD PEACE as it is doing now.

CSL knows very well that there is no such term as ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ in any part of our Federal Constitution. So are terms like ‘Social Contract’. YET, the whole letters and spirit of the Federal Constitution gave rise to the accepted terms like ‘Social Contract’ and ‘Ketuanan Melayu’.

The ‘Malay Centredness’ of our Federal Constitution is TOO APPARENT TO DENY. Bahasa Melayu, the language of the Malays was made the NATIONAL LANGUAGE. Islam, the religion of the Malays was made the RELIGION OF THE FEDERATION. Each of the states are headed by MALAY KINGS who collectively appoint the YANG DIPERTUAN AGUNG, the KING OF MALAYSIA. Under our land laws, 50% of land has to be reserved to the MALAYS forever. And, Article 153 of the Federal Constitution clearly spell out SPECIAL POSITION OF MALAYS.

All the above provisions are allowed for in our Federal Constitution after taking into considerations the POLITICAL HISTORY of the region, where Malays have always been WORLDLY RECOGNISED  as the ETHNIC PEOPLE and ESTABLISHED RULERS of this part of the MALAY ARCHIPELAGO, before any history book was ever written.

‘Ketuanan Melayu’ is not about Malay supremacy over other races. ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ is not about Malays becoming MASTERS and the other races becoming SLAVES, as coined by both Anwar and Kit Siang. ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ is in fact the recognition of the POLITICAL HISTORY of this region where MALAYS were the ORIGINAL INHIBITANTS AND RULERS, and for that reason, the Malays were accorded SPECIAL POSITION in our Federal Constitution.

To deny the realities of ‘Social Contract’, ‘Ketuanan Melayu’, and other related terms, Chua Soi Lek will only make himself, if not his party, IRRELEVANT. During the early years of the Late Lim Chong Yew, MCA used to split apart, when the ‘young turks’ within MCA tried to do exactly what Chua Soi Lek is trying to repeat now. In such difficulties, UMNO proved to be able to stand firm on their history-blessed grounds, and would not hesitate to choose to work with even smaller group of Chinese who uphold the spirits of the SOCIAL CONTRACT agreed upon by the FOUNDING FATHERS of our blessed nation.

Is MCA Trojan Horse of DAP?

December 6, 2010

MCA President Chua Soi Lek’s speech during the BN Convention was made within closed-doors of BN FRATERNITY, but several portals have reported some parts of it, including the MT People’s Portal, my childhood wading pool, where I played with or fought against ANTI-BN bloggers.

If what’s being reported in the RPK-owned portal is a true reflection of what  has been uttered by CSL, then BN is still light-years away from a state of readiness to call for General Election, the 13th GE. CSL voices sound as COURSE as that of Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng and Karpal Singh. It looks as though the DAP and MCA are quietly sharing the same aspirations and purpose. That being the case, the question is, why not they merge into one BIGGER Chinese party and make their voices louder, and better heard by the Malays.

The very least, CSL should search for an answer as to  WHY terms like ‘pendatang’ and ‘ketuanan Melayu’ have been the ‘language of the day’? Wasn’t it a NATURAL RESPONSE to certain quarters who, since the run up to the 2008 GE, have been questioning things like SPECIAL POSITION OF MALAYS as provided for in our Federal Constitution, and related policies like NEP, provision of places to study in univeresities, provision of scholarships, MARA, bumi-only contracts and such matters.

Ever since the TRAGIC racial riots of 1969, Malaysians have not mentioned terms like ‘pendatang’, ‘ketuanan Melayu’ and suck likes for almost 40 years…..until the ANTI-NATIONAL and PETUALANG BANGSA Anwar Ibrahim, and DAP, replayed the RACIAL MUSIC again, to IGNITE the emosions of the Chinese against the Malays, in particular UMNO.

Being the second ‘biggest brother’ in the BN, President of MCA should not dance to the music of DAP. MCA must stick to their own music, musics based on the CONTRACT SOCIAL preferred by their founding-fathers, not the deafening sound of gun-fire of comrade Chin Peng and his fellow insurgents. BN should be the manifestations and embodiments of the SOCIAL CONTRACT and agreed FOUNDATIONS of our nation.

BN should NEVER allow any room for DAP’s TROJAN HORSE to undermine the GLORY and SUCCESS built by UMNO/MCA/MIC/Perikatan/BN for over 50 years.
